Practical information for ordering furniture to a Chicago home, from greystone walk-ups to high-rise apartments.
Before you order
- Measure your path. Many older Chicago buildings have narrow stairwells, tight turns and small doorways. Measure the door, hallway and stair width and any turns, then compare with the product dimensions.
- High-rise and condo buildings. Ask building management about freight elevator booking, move-in hours and any deposit or insurance requirement.
- Parking and loading. Tell us if there is a loading zone or street parking restriction at your address so the delivery team can plan.
- Walk-ups. Mention the floor number when you order so we can plan for stairs.
